Grace

GRACE

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one (Colossians 4:6 New King James Version).

God's Grace Enables MeGrace is unmerited favor. When we met Jesus at the cross, and repented of our sins, God poured out His grace upon us. We have received something we didn’t deserve, but because of the love God has for us, He gave us grace and forgave our sin. God continues to grant us grace; He fills and overflows our grace quotient daily; we only need to ask! Isn’t it amazing? There is nothing we cannot get through, if we have God’s grace. It is this same grace which is sufficient for us; enabling us to carry out His works the human eye deems impossible. Grace grants us the attitude to speak into any situation; and ushers in the Holy Spirit to work through us.

Zechariah 4:6-7 says “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. ‘Who are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel, you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” With God’s grace, we can move mountains and we can calm storms. Grace from God sustains us to do what He has called us to do; it unleashes the power of the Holy Spirit. Think back and ask yourself if there was ever a time in your life in which you know God’s grace sustained you through your situation? Think back to a time when you extended grace to someone else. When we speak to believers and non-believers alike with grace-filled words, we will see the Holy Spirit work like never before. Grace does not condemn, grace does not continue to bring up error, grace does not humiliate, grace does not speak defeat; grace brings peace, grace brings life, grace brings forgiveness, and grace bears fruit.

If you are going through tough times; dealing with difficult people; living in a very taxing situation; seeing more strife than you would like, shout “Grace, grace to it!” Pray before opening your mouth, asking for words of grace and love; seasoning, if you will, and answer according to the Holy Spirit’s prompting.

Let’s Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You once again for opening our eyes to usher in another beautiful day! We are so grateful that You love us enough to grant us more opportunities to share Your love and grace with others. Thank You for the grace You have poured out upon us, and thank You for sustaining us through Your grace. Lord, help us to understand fully what it means to speak with grace, to be covered in grace, to have Your grace be sufficient for us; teach us how to be more grace-full throughout our days. Show us by Your Spirit how to extend that grace to others. May the situations we are facing today tremble when we shout “Grace, grace to it!”, and may Your hand be free to move within our situations. We love You and honor You with our loudest praise and our humble worship. We adore You Father, and desire more of You. We stand before Your throne in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Attitude of Worship: We all have people that can set out teeth on edge; when you face that person, extend grace. Speak softly and slowly, choosing your words carefully and smile when speaking. A smile is conveyed through your voice even over the phone! Remember, grace, grace to it!
