Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2NLT).

Just As He Had Said

JUST AS HE HAD SAID

So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover (Luke 22:13 New King James Version).

I want to draw your attention to five words in today’s verse. “Just as He had said.” If you go back and read the preceding verses, you will find Jesus had sent Peter and John to find a place where they could prepare for the Passover meal, and as He sent them, He described in detail the person they would meet and the conversation which would take place as well as a description of the room where they would celebrate Passover. “Just as He had said,” How many times in our lives have we heard Jesus describe something to us and it happened just as He had said? Would we remember and recognize when it came to pass?

When Jesus speaks, He speaks truth and what He speaks comes to pass. There’s no cleaning up of language, no watering down of meaning, no complicating messages; Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and He is the Word. We have authority when we pray in His name and we have victory. There are many, many Believers who don’t fully understand the power we have because Christ is in us. He said in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” I reiterate, HE SAID! It’s comforting to know whatever Jesus has spoken, it happens. Therefore, we need not be afraid of the times to come, because He said He’s coming back for us. We know we have a place in heaven because He said He’s preparing a place for us. The words of Jesus are not just words, they are life, they are hope, and they are promises He will keep.

Let’s Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for waking us up another day! Thank You for loving us and caring for us. Today, we come before You asking for forgiveness for our doubts. For doubting because we don’t always see fulfillment of Your promises when we think we should; for doubting as we pray; for our unbelief that what Jesus has said will come to pass. Help our unbelief, Jesus, create in us clean hearts and renew our spirits. Revive our hope in You. May the spirit of discouragement be bound and silenced. May the spirit of doubt be cast out, in Jesus’ name. Lord, we come before You and we desire to bow at Your feet in humble worship, offering ourselves and our days to You. Open our eyes to that which You have already fulfilled as You have spoken. Reveal in our hearts those things that have yet to come to pass. We love You, we give You all praise and glory! In Your mighty name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Attitude of Worship: Make a list of all Jesus has spoken to you. Then pray to remember when it comes to pass just as He had said; write those revelations down as well. As you look over what has not yet came to pass, pray to be shown those parts of it which are in motion. The purpose of this is to help you increase your faith and trust in the Lord. Without faith and trust, you cannot worship in spirit and in truth.
