No Weapon

No Weapon

And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed, “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled” (1 Peter 3:13-14 New King James Version).

No-WeaponThe Bible says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). Jesus has the victory (1 Corinthians 15:57) and because He does, we do too. There is nothing the enemy can throw at us that we cannot overcome with Christ.  There is nothing he can do where Jesus hasn’t already been victorious. No matter what we may be personally going through, Jesus is right there with us and He has already won. Let’s not waste our day away worrying about something Jesus is already handling. Let the joy of the Lord be our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

If you woke up today and feel as though the weight of the world is crashing down on you because you have an issue going on in your life, let Jesus handle it.

If you are feeling sad today, let Jesus comfort you.

If you are hungry today, let Jesus feed you.

If you have tread off the path, let Jesus lead you back to it.

If you are becoming blind, let Jesus open your eyes.

If you are going deaf, let Jesus remove the background noise.

If you are penniless, let Jesus be your financial advisor.

There is victory with Jesus, there is hope with Jesus, and there is love with Jesus. We have no worries if we trust and submit ourselves fully to Him, when we praise Him and worship at His feet. Let us get before Him, allowing Him to take all of our cares, burdens, and heavy weights. Let us walk in the freedom we have in Jesus. Let us not allow the idle chatter of others to burn within our minds and hearts. Praise Jesus and let Him stand up for us.

Let’s Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You again for another blessed day! You have granted us a “tomorrow” and for all the “tomorrows” that have become “todays” we give You thanks and praise! Father, there are many who are suffering at the hands of others and we lift them up to You. Your word says that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, that any tongue which rises up against us You shall condemn and we stand on this promise that those who are slandering us, persecuting us, trying to bring us down will not succeed. We stand firm knowing that You are Judge, Jury and the Executor of Your judgments. Lord, we ask for endurance to withstand these attacks, may our armor be strong. May we react to all situations in love, with Your grace, with Your strength, with Your wisdom and may we be humble. May we bow our heads and pray for those who hurt us, who slander us, who persecute us so that they may come to a saving knowledge of who You are. You desire all men to be saved, not just a select few and Lord, we ask for Your grace to be able to pray for all men. We love You Father, and we desire to lean on You for all things. We give You all glory, honor and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Attitude of Worship: Lay your worries down, let Jesus be your problem solver. Don’t lose sleep over things going on in your life, submit them to the Holy Spirit and let Jesus handle them. We are commanded through God’s Word to not worry, we are told to be anxious for nothing, so this is God’s way of saying we are not equipped to solve every problem on our own, and we will make ourselves physically and spiritually sick if we try to work things out. Our job is to give our situations, other people, and lives to the Lord while following His path to overcoming them.
