O,Come

I recently came across some poetry I had written a few years ago.  I was asked to write a poem for a Christmas party at our church, and this is what I came up with. Enjoy!

O, Come

O, come, let us adore Him

He is the Word made flesh,

Holiness that walked with man

Wrapped in skin

Love incarnate

Emmanuel

O come, let us worship Him

He, alone, is worthy

Beauty in humility

Perfection personified

Love everlasting

Adonai

O come, let us praise Him

He is our warrior leader

A shelter among storms

Strong and mighty

Faithful and true

Jesus

O come, let us glorify Him

Born to be about Our Father’s business

An unassuming King

Magnificent in simplicity

Compassionate in nature

Majesty
