Today’s word is “Rejection”.

I see a garden, but I see it from the viewpoint of underground. There are many plants taking root in this garden. Some of the roots are wispy and fragile, others are thick and intertwined with other roots in the garden. Some are light colored, some are dark, others resemble bean sprouts, and others resemble tree trunks. But, no matter, all these roots are strong and able to put up a good fight if an attempt to dig them out is made. Now, I see the garden from above the ground, and where there are roots underground, there are weeds above. Every root is attached to an invasive weed, but the biggest weed in the garden has the largest and strongest roots. This weed is labeled “rejection”.

I see the Gardener wandering about the garden, He has his head tipped down and is intently focused on pulling the weeds. As He pulls the weeds and shakes the dirt from their roots, He goes to His cart and removes a potted flower, which He then plants in the place of the uprooted weed. Most of the weeds don’t appear to give much of a fight, and so He moves about the garden rather quickly. I notice these weeds are labeled “bitter”, “anger”, “fear”…and while they are rather bulky, they are easy enough for Him to pull out. As He moves toward the weed labeled “rejection”, He gets some tools out of His cart. Now, I see Him perched above the weed and He takes a saw and cuts the weed off at ground level. Then, He takes a spade and begins to dig out the root. I can see the root fighting and twisting to get away from the spade, but the Gardener is persistent in His quest. After a few intense moments of fighting, the Gardener grabs the root in the soil and jerks it upward, ripping it from the earth and places it in a metal bucket in His cart. He then takes a rose bush from the cart, top soil and fertilizer and tenderly plants the rose bush in the place where He pulled the root of the weed called “rejection”.

I heard the Lord say, “Though you may feel rejected, I have NOT rejected you. I have a place for you, and I AM working within you to destroy the root of rejection that has distorted your perception of Me. This world may reject you, but understand that I do not. I accept you because I love You and I lovingly created you for a specific purpose, and it is because of My love for you that I cut out the root of rejection from your heart.

There is a spirit of rejection infecting My children, and I am moving among you to cut it out and burn it. As I tend to the garden of your heart, you will feel many things, do not let your emotions lead you; follow the prompting of My Spirit and My Word and come alongside Me as I work. Weeping may endure only for a night, but Joy does come in the morning.”

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:3-7 NKJV).

Shalom ♥
