Today’s word is “Chess”.
I remember as a little girl, my father would sit and play chess with me. He would try to explain the intricacies and strategies necessary to play the game, but I never seemed to grasp it. What I understood was the pawns took a beating, bishops, rooks and knights had cool moves, the Queen protected the King, and “checkmate” meant someone won. I can appreciate a game of chess, but I rarely consider strategy when playing.
I see a chessboard, and we, as the Bride, are the Queen, there are different kinds of angels as pawns, knights, rooks and bishops, and only one King. In this game, the King directs the games strategy, the Queen rests on her knees and everyone else moves where the King tells them to go.
I hear the Lord say “There are assignments sent against you, but I AM here to remind you that no weapon formed against you will prosper. My love protects and conquers, and every tongue that rises up I will condemn. For in My game of chess, I, the King, protect My Queen, and direct the steps of the pieces. For every one of the enemy’s pawns that move toward My Queen, I have already cleared a path to safety. Move where I move, go where I go, and understand that no Word of Mine returns void. My Word goes out and accomplishes what I have sent it to do.
The assignments against you will come in the form of jealousy and envy, gossip and backbiting for I AM doing a work within you that others do not understand and the enemy wants to hinder, but as your King and Protector I remind you, he will not succeed. Do not allow his pawns to invade your space by dwelling on the attacks, for I have given you what is necessary to block them. Stay connected to Me, abide in Me, partner with Me and stand firm in the wisdom and understanding that I have you covered.”
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV).
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday (Psalm 91: 3-6).
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7).
