Today’s word is Hammer.
“Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces” (Jeremiah 23:29 NKJV)?
I saw a Blacksmith’s hammer striking metal into the shape of a sword. As the sparks flew with each strike, they became words. In the forge’s fire, I can see words; there are words engraved on the hammer and within the metal of the sword. The words are all around; I can reach out and touch them. Each strike of the hammer releases more words into the atmosphere causing it to become electrically charged.
I hear the Lord say, “Let My Word be like a fire and a hammer in your heart. I AM refining your heart, healing the parts that are broken and delivering the parts still captive. Partner with Me in this work, don’t strive against me. Let go of that to which you cling tightly and let Me take you from glory to glory and strength to strength. I have not finished the work I have started in you; I have so much more. You must be willing to let Me position you, but this will require My refiner’s fire and the fashioning of My hand.”
