Week 6 Prayer Focus

I’ve been giving this week’s prayer focus a lot of thought because it’s a controversial topic. But the Lord’s love for the world compels me to move forward and say what I have to say about it.

This week we are praying for the women contemplating having an abortion, as well as those women who have had one and live with guilt. It is imperative that we pray from a place of love for these women; if you don’t think you can pray from the position of love and not judgment, then please don’t pray with us on this topic.

Pray for the women who are considering it to have eyes to see and ears to hear that this is a human life, that God has created this little life for a great purpose. Pray for her to have Godly people come alongside her and encourage her to explore options for the baby, to show her love and support, to help her see that this is not the end of her world, but a new beginning for her. Pray for her heart to be filled with the love of God, that it floods and permeates ever fiber of her being and that she begins to see the Way, the Truth and the Life that is Christ.

Pray for those who have had abortions – that they recognize how much God loves them, that they forgive themselves and seek the Lord for healing and wholeness. That they see that guilt is not of God, but that it is a tactic of the enemy to keep them bound.

Thank you for walking this journey out with me. When we pray from the position of love and authority, we will begin to see God change our world around us. We will also be in a better position to hear from Him and more likely to recognize His voice, which in turn helps us become game-changers.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to get in the game!

Shalom ♥
