Today’s word is “Freedom”.
The Lord showed me a roomful of feet bound in shackles with short chains. As I looked further, I saw the metal become corroded and rusty, and then I saw them break and fall off. I saw the feet stand, shake the dust off and run out of the room.
This is profound on many levels. The Lord explained to me that there are many who have been shackled and bound, unable to go anywhere – hence the feet being bound and not the hands. When the hands are bound, we are still able to run away, but the bondage remains with us. When the feet are bound, there is little to no progress in any direction. We are stuck, and will often become oblivious to the chain, mistaking it for comfort and ease. The key now is to recognize our liberty and freedom, and move in it!
The Lord is speaking to many today. You are no longer bound. He has corroded the chains and broken the shackles and you are free! You have been set free from whatever has held you captive and kept you bound! Whether it be relationships, addictions, your job or joblessness, thoughts, emotional chains – whatever it is, He has broken its yoke and you may walk freely! Be encouraged!
I hear Him say, “I AM the one who has liberated you from the chains and shackles that have held you captive. I AM the healer of the wounds you sustained while bound, and I AM bandaging them in front of your enemies. No longer are you captive to what you once held on to. Fear not, for I AM with you in your freedom, the Light of My Love will guide your footsteps from here on out. Surrender to My guidance and partner with Me in your liberty. Allow Me to remove the stain and cleanse the wounds the shackles left on your ankles – this will cause people, places, things and situations to be removed from you. It is for your good and My Purpose that this must be so, it is My Love for you that will strengthen you during this process. Do not become comfortable in the place where you have been chained, because I have set you free, you may run! Run with Me! Let us move forward, together, in liberty!”
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT).
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15)
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (Galatians 4:3-7).
