The Lord has been speaking to me about diamonds. Each diamond, in the hand of the jeweler, is cut to best display its splendor and reflect the most light. There are many different diamonds, each with its own color and attributes, and they are all stunning!
In the hands of God, we are like the diamond. Every word He speaks over us, every revelation of purpose, every character enhancement, even those moments of discipline- these are designed to cut us in places to best display and reflect His glory. We are precious treasure to our Father and He shapes us to be His best reflection, and to fit us into the setting He has specifically made for us.
He polishes us and continues to cut and shape us to our position, and this can often seem like times of trial or testing. Perhaps even times where He seems silent and distant. Rest assured, He is making us more brilliant than we could have ever hoped!
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT).
