Boy, when I asked the Lord to show me great and mighty things, I probably should have strapped myself in for the ride!
EMBRACE THE WAVE!
I sense a wave coming for the Church. I saw a tsunami wave sweeping over this nation, but not to harm it. It was an IDENTITY wave. The Lord says too many people have lost the vision of their true identity and He is preparing His people to receive the wave of those who will wake up to who they really are. The Church must first embrace this wave, for we have many who forget WHO they really are and walk according to what this world calls them. Christ turned the world upside down by His finished work on the cross. As the Church, it is our responsibility to fully understand who we really are in Christ and to help others discover the same.
This world identifies you by what you do, how much money you have, how popular you are, how well you agree with the masses, how you spend your money, how you raise your children, etc. This world also dictates all of this as well.
Christ identifies you by what He has already done and by the gift of GRACE. He calls you WORTHY, He calls you REDEEMED, He calls you AUTHORITATIVE, He calls you BEAUTIFUL, He calls you a NEW CREATION, He calls you HIS.
HE CALLS YOU HIS! Do you realize how powerful this very concept is? You are His BELOVED! It does not matter what you’ve done in the past, how you have lived, or what you have done – none of this is your true identity. Your true identity is in Christ and for that, He welcomes you with open arms. The only things He asks in return is a surrender of your heart, and an about face in your thinking. Once we do that, we give Him complete control, and I can tell you from experience, NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME!
Acts 17:22-29 “Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.”
Shalom!
