I am not a “sinner saved by grace” or a “saint”, but a sister (brother) of Christ. Papa is family focused and family oriented. His Son is Christ, and because He made me a new creation at salvation, I am in Christ and Christ is in me. I am His daughter, a child of God. Just because a phrase is true and has been used for years to describe the church does not mean it is beneficial. Keep telling people they are sinners saved by grace and what you’ll get are people still sinning because they don’t understand grace. Call them saints and you wind up with pharisaical or prideful thinking. Call them what they really are – a child – and you’ll have someone who understands their place in the family of God, able to receive and give LOVE. Papa’s design for the family is also a design for the church.
It’s time we stopped labeling ourselves and calling each other what we are not, and begin referring to the Church as the family Papa has made us to be.

John 20:17 NLT “Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find My BROTHERS and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.'” (emphasis mine)

After the cross, Jesus made it official – we are sons and daughters of Papa. Now behave like one.
