Jezebel has fallen, but we must soldier on, for a Deborah is rising!
This is certainly a momentous day in the history of our nation. For many, this is not the day they had envisioned, and for others it is. As difficult as it may be, let us not wallow in our losses or brag in our victory. This was a divisive, uphill, nasty battle with definite winners and losers. As Americans, I would like to think we can overcome and unite, but I realize this will take time.
Our new President-Elect is not who some expected and many will struggle to call him our leader. That is okay. Our nation must heal; compassion is a necessity now more than ever. We must rise above, as Americans, and continue to move forward. All is not lost and there is always hope.
As I prayed yesterday, I saw two swords crossing in battle and I understood the depth of this war. There are things going on in the spirit most people don’t understand and what we are seeing in the natural was begot in the spirit. From a prophetic perspective, Jezebel’s kingdom has fallen, but the war wages on. Her influence is broken, but her soldiers haven’t conceded yet. We must continue to pray and take back the ground we allowed the enemy to encroach upon. He has no power, but we gave him power. The sleeping giant has awakened, rising and fighting back.
As a Church, we must no longer be apathetic and complacent, we must be aware that the words we speak sow seeds harvested in upcoming generations. For too long words of condemnation, judgment and cursing have been spoken over this nation and people. We must begin to bless, and not curse. We must love and not hate. We must have compassion not selfish ambition. Long ago we said we were “One nation under God” and how we have allowed that phrase to become a clanging cymbal because we lost the love that went with it. We trusted in man and not God, and we forgot about the unique beauty of individualism and diversity. God is going to use our beautiful diversity in healing our nation and people, and He will raise up leaders from the next generation.
We must soldier on in steadfast prayer for our leaders, our people and our upcoming generations. We must speak life, love and blessing over our land and ask for the balm of Gilead to flow, heal and unite.
This is the beginning of a new era, have no fear. Do not be discouraged, do not be dismayed, the Lord is with you, do not be afraid.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence (1 Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV)
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63)
