My husband is a diehard Eagles fan so we’ve been down this road a couple times over the last 28 years. Nevertheless, we were hopeful this game would not be disappointing. Needless to say, it wasn’t! Although, I watched it through a different lens than I normally would have.
A couple of hours before the game yesterday, I had an overwhelming sense of a divine download. I had an intense feeling that this game was of utmost prophetic importance, with the team names being the first part. The Eagles represented the Lord and I was reminded of Isaiah 40:31 “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” The Patriots represented a major territorial and flesh-driven spirit. At this point, I started paying closer attention to what I was feeling.
I interceded through the entire game. I noticed that while the Eagles had penalty after penalty, and the Patriots had less than a handfull called, they prevailed each time. The enemy tried to hold them down, but Jesus lifted them up! My husband was upset at a couple of their plays, but I reassured him that this is a divinely appointed game, and the Eagles would win. Jesus always prevails. Always. Although, I will admit even I was wondering what the Lord was doing at the one point where they fell behind. However, it all worked out, didn’t it?
Watching the game and praying also increased the sense of expectation I was experiencing and lasted well into the night. I couldn’t sleep because of the downloads I was receiving, all of which I haven’t had time to even write down and begin meditating on. I believe there will be more pieces of this puzzle to come across the nation throughout the prophetic circles. There is not only significance in the names of the teams, but the game score and the areas they come from.
All I know is a major spiritual shift has taken place and Jesus will now be exalted on a scale we have never seen. His Kingdom is advancing at an accelerated pace and His enemies are falling. We are taking back ground the enemy has stolen and with Jesus, we have the upper hand!
