“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive” (Colossians 3:12-13 ESV).
Be kind. Especially today when it appears kindness is at a minimum. People have been bombarded with so much and worn down by the weight of it all, be kind. We don’t know what others are really going through daily, but kindness and compassion go a long way in helping others. When we exhibit kindness and compassion, we are showing Jesus to a broken world.
It is the goodness and kindness of God which draws people to repentance and as His ambassadors on this earth, it is our responsibility to be His conduits for these. Jesus never reacted to people based on their behavior towards Him; He was compassionate and kind.
We will reap what we sow, make sure you are sowing kindness and compassion.
