Satisfy

Today is named SATISFY because Jesus is the one who satisfies our soul. He is all we need, our hope, our strength, the one we run to, and the one we hold to. He is our anchor and port in the storm, the fire in our passion, the quench for our thirst. All we could ever need we have in Jesus. He is bigger than any problem we face and in Him, we are more than conquerors. We need not turn to worldly things for satisfaction because only Jesus truly satisfies.

“The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” (Isaiah 58:11 NKJV)

Guitar play

My husband put his guitar away about two years or so ago. Life happened and he had a few things he needed to deal with and so his guitar quietly waited in a corner of our bedroom. He would often talk about playing, but something always seemed to come up.

Growing up with a musician for a father, I have always loved music. My father would play whenever he got the chance, and often as I could, I would sit with him and enjoy the show, singing along when I knew the words. When my husband decided to take up the guitar, I knew I would sit with him and sing along. I also knew we would be in ministry together and I longed for the day he would remove it from the case and begin to play.

A couple of months ago I finally decided to obey something Papa had been speaking to me about for a few years and open our home for worship. I scheduled a date and began inviting people. We had our first session on Thursday and it was amazing! The best part was that my husband took his guitar out of his case and played! He may have been a bit rusty and slow on some chord changes, but he gave his heart and Papa was pleased. We enjoyed the sweetness of His presence and a kiss of His glory.

This was just a small part of our practice before everyone arrived:
