Eyes Ever Upward

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2 NKJV).

Obstacle

Today’s word is “Obstacle”.

military_obstacle_courseI see a large obstacle course such as what the military trains in; but I also see obstacles such as mountains, lakes, chasms, cliffs, potholes, rocky terrain, heavily wooded areas and cloudy, misty places. I see men and women, maneuvering through the course, some meandering slowly, some alone, some with others, some crying and ready to give up, others joyfully pressing on. What I notice is that for those who approach each obstacle with joy and confidence, the obstacle practically disappears from in front of them, enabling them to move ahead. Those who approach with an attitude of defeat, I notice the obstacle becomes larger and more difficult to overcome.

I heard the Lord say “The path before you is filled with many obstacles, but I AM able to help you overcome them and it will seem as if they have been removed from in front of you. You must focus on Me, for I am your exceedingly great reward and your prize. Your attitude will always dictate your level of mobility. It is because of My love for you and My desire for your growth that I allow this,. When your attitude becomes one of trust, of love, and of joy, then you will find your crooked path has been made straight.”

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15:1 NKJV).

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3: 12-14).

Verse of the Day

““What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” — Luke 12:6-7 Listen to chapter . Powered by BibleGateway.com.
