But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4 NKJV)

The Word of God is Life. He created all things with His Word and sustains all things with His Word. His Word is powerful and does what He sends it to do. When we meditate on His Word and study it, we are feeding and fueling our spirits a nourishment unlike any other. This empowers us to live our day to day victoriously!

God’s Word is applicable in any situation and for any need that arises. Look for what He says about it and confess is aloud over it. His Word is living and powerful and active. Exercise faith and live on His Word!

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31 NKJV)?

God is our greatest cheerleader, advocate, provider and protector. In Him, no weapon formed against us will prosper. He shields us with His feathers and covers us with His wings.

In Christ, we live and move and have our being, and we have been given His same authority. We have, in us, the very same Spirit that raised Him from the dead. And because of this, we are well able to resist all the devil attacks us with.

Because God is for us, we can stand and resist the devil and watch him flee in terror.

“God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17 b NKJV).

When we look at the creation story we see God speaking the world and all that is in it into existence. He called things that were nit as though they were. All throughout Scripture we see Him do this. He spoke and then it happened. This same creative power exists in us.

When we pray, we must pray the victory nit recite what the devil is doing. We have been given imagination to envision the desired outcome of our prayers and pray it. We have to see it spiritually, speak it in prayer and believe we have received it. This not only builds our faith, but it puts the devil on notice that we aren’t listening to him anymore. Praying the problem only reinforces the power of the problem in your spirit. Praying the solution from God’s word and what He says about the problem reinforces the power of His word thus increasing your faith.

Take your prayers to the Word. See the answer, speak the answer and believe you have the answer.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV).

If we were to physically be forced to eat the words we speak, we would make sure to choose words that tasted good enough to have well-seasoned and digestible conversation. We would become very quick to listen and very slow and thoughtful to speak. The more I learn about walking in faith, the more I realize just how powerful words truly are. We will eat the fruit of our words.

Consider for a moment the flippant things we say without thinking, especially to ourselves. We speak sickness, pain, poverty, bad relationships etc over ourselves. We call ourselves stupid, dumb, airheaded, powerless, incompetent, blind, deaf, dumb and everything in between. We may tell ourselves we are kidding, but out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths speak. And what we speak fills our hearts. So again – what is we had to eat those words?

Our words are more powerful than we think because we have God’s Creative Power at work within us. Words can build up and they can destroy. Speaking the Word of God builds faith, and when we speak it aloud, it penetrates our hearts. The more of God’s word we speak to ourselves, the more we fill our hearts and the more we will speak it.

We have what we say. Speak the life-giving, life-affirming, life-sustaining Word of God and eat the fruit that comes from it!

Verse of the Day

““What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” — Luke 12:6-7 Listen to chapter . Powered by BibleGateway.com.
