Eyes Ever Upward

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2 NKJV).

Jeremiah 33:3

Deeper

Today’s word is “Deeper”.

raman-forest04I see a pool at the bottom of the waterfall. The water is so clear, yet the bottom cannot be seen. There are swimmers in the water – diving, swimming, laughing. They are refreshed, and when they dive, they are down for a very long time. I wonder how they can breathe under the water, and how they are not gasping for breath when they come up. One of the swimmers sees me and beckons me to come and swim. Fearful that the water will be cold, I gingerly step in. The water is the perfect temperature and soon I am floating. As I swim and begin to go underwater, I realize I can still breathe. All the fatigue and cares are gone from my shoulders, and I discover I am swimming further and further down. As I look at the water from underneath, I notice I am seeing things with absolute clarity- there is no underwater dirt cloud, no obstructions, only clear, clean, refreshing water.

I hear the Lord say “Come deeper with Me. Come into My pool of refreshment and seek the deeper things. Deep calls out to deep, your heart longs to see the deep and secret things. Shake off your garment of heaviness and put on the garment of praise, step into the water and swim with me at the base of the waterfall. I have all you need, I AM all you need. Do not be content to scratch the surface and stay floating on top, come deeper with Me.”

Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me (Psalm 42:7 NKJV).

Let your cry come to me, and I will give you an answer, and let you see great things and secret things of which you had no knowledge (Jeremiah 33:3 BBE).

Shalom,
Prudence ♥

Great And Mighty Things

GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3 New King James Version).

God desires to show us more of Himself.  He wants us to humble ourselves, call upon Him during times of peace and times of trouble.  He desires us to depend completely upon Him to meet our needs, to reveal His glory, and reach others.  He yearns to do miracles, and He longs to touch us in ways only He knows we will respond to.  He wants to take us to the next level in our reliance and submission to Him.  He wants to show us great and mighty things!  There is nothing too hard for God.

God has a purpose and a plan for every part of our lives; sometimes to put that plan and purpose into motion, we need to call to the Lord.  We have to realize when we call to the Lord, He will answer us.  Our eyes and ears must be open and tuned in to see how He answers us.  We have to look for those great and mighty things!  God makes the impossible possible!

If you feel that you have been stuck in a rut and your prayer life has become stale and unfruitful; if you feel as though you have hit a brick wall in your life itself; if you are in a situation more troubled than peaceful – call out to God.  If you desire a deeper walk with Him; if you are longing for more of Him; if you want to know the next step in His path for you – call out to God.  He promises to answer you and reveal Himself to you.  Let Him show you the things He desires for you.

Let’s Pray:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You so much for this day.  Thank You for blessing us with wakefulness, and more opportunities to be blessings to others.  Thank You for showering us with Your mercy, grace and favor.  We desire more and more of You, we cry out to You from our hearts, with wait with anticipation for Your answer.  Show us, O God, those great and mighty things!  Reveal to us, O Lord, those things that You want for us, take us to the next level.  We offer ourselves to You as living vessels; broken and refashioned by Your hand; filled with Your Spirit.  Send us out, Lord, to be salt and light among the dark of this world.  We bow down and humble ourselves before Your throne, and we give You all honor and praise.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Attitude of Worship: God will draw near to us as we draw near to Him. To draw near, we need to find where He is and we will find Him as we call to Him.  This isn’t the game of Marco Polo in which we call out with eyes closed, we can openly look for God and call out to Him wherever, whenever, however we can and when we do, He will show Himself to us.

Additional Scriptures:  Deuteronomy 4:29; Isaiah 55:6; James 4:8

Shalom,

Prudence
