Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36 NKJV).

With our nation being as divided as it is in almost all areas, we may be upset that others don’t see or feel like we do. We may become so focused on all the depravity, greed, corruption and deceptive news and feel frustrated that others aren’t seeing it for what it is. This, too, is a tactic of the enemy. He is an attention hog and the more attention we give to what he’s got going on, the less we will pay attention to what Papa is saying and doing. This will cause us to pray from a fearful position and not our rightful authoritative and victorious one.

It does not matter how many times we write, speak, watch documentaries or quarrel with each other or those with opposing view points. It will be of no avail because it is earthly reasoning at work and that does not penetrate the spirit. It is the Gospel that sets people free and dissolves the veil of deception. We must remember that our fight is not in the natural but in the spirit and we must stay focused on the spiritual things of heaven.

It is the influencing spirits behind the people that we need to battle, but the people themselves need the Gospel. Not the happy clappy, diluted version that we have become so accustomed to, but the Holy Spirit infused truth. Where the demons gather, we must also gather to preach the gospel and resist the devil and make him flee in terror. We must remember who we are and walk in that authority and power to see people truly set free.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 ESV).

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter (Isaiah 5:20 ESV)!

We live in a day where evil is heralded as good and good is denounced as evil. Satan prowls around, devouring the minds of the weak-minded and weak-spirited. He has spit on and trampled our moral compass and we, as the Church Body, have let him. We have so separated ourselves from the world as to not get our hands dirty in affecting culture with the Kingdom of God. We preach to our respective choirs and outreach only to make ourselves feel good. Do not twist this, I am speaking in generality. There are small pockets of believers who are calling evil for what it is, but they need the entire Body to take back ground we have conceded to Satan.

He has always been after the children. All through Scripture, he attacked them first. He has no new tricks. He wants to steal their youth, their innocence, their uniqueness, their purpose in God. He wants to kill them and if he doesn’t win in that, he will kill their ability to be fruitful and multiply. He wants to destroy their individual identities and their futures. Who, in the Body, is willing to get in the trenches to stand up and protect our children? We are seeing, from the top down, depravity, perversion, death, crime, greed, and the devaluation of life being promoted and celebrated!

I have news for you, we serve an almighty God and we are all a part of the Body of Christ. We have been given authority to trample on serpents, cast out Devils and heal the sick. We ARE the kingdom infantry and we need to get off our collective, passive, feel-good, phariasiacal and religious butts to go reclaim our territory. Do not pray for the success of this evil administration, pray for a spirit of repentance to sweep through and penetrate their hearts. Pray for our nation to be a nation who fears the Lord for blessed is the nation who’s God is the Lord!

Jesus came so that we would have life more abundantly. We are not going to see any abundance if our heads are buried in the sand. Open your mouth, get on your feet and call evil for what it is! Jesus is our head and we are His body, we need to start acting like it.

Wherever you are and whatever your sphere of influence is, take authority over the ground and atmosphere you walk in. Resist the devil and he will flee from you!

Today’s Encouragement

Jesus reiterated what Scripture tells us- man does not live on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Psalm 23 reminds us that as our Shepherd, He has provided all we need. There is no lack in the kingdom of God, there is no poverty, no emptiness. Papa has endless resources while Satan has a budget.

It may look as though your bank account is low, your cupboards are bordering on empty, your gas tank needs filling. Tell that spirit of lack to go in Jesus’ name! Speak abundance over your resources, seek the kingdom of God and His wisdom, and watch Him provide all you need!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing (Psalm 34:8-10 ESV)

Thoughts on Current Happenings

May 31, 2020 by Prudence Leave a Comment

Due to the novel coronavirus I have been working from home since mid-March. While I am keeping my same wake/sleep schedule so as not to disrupt myself when I do head back to my office, this time at home has afforded me more opportunity to meditate and pray about our current situation. First off, I do not like it. It doesn’t pass my smell test, nor does it taste right, sit right, sound right. There is so much wrong with the way this has been handled from the get-go and I do believe it was on purpose. My personal feelings aside, this is a very real sickness with very real death. My heart is broken for every family touched by the virus, those who died can never be replaced. My heart is also broken for the emotional, physical and mental toll it has put on families, especially the children. My prayer is for Papa to guard their hearts and minds so they come through this stronger and more insightful then when they entered.

As I mentioned yesterday, I view things from a different perspective. This also means I lean into what I hear the Holy Spirit saying. I have been on alert since before the end of last year. There is much demonic influence behind the handling of this virus and we must be in tune and in step with the direction they are moving in so we can pray offensively accordingly. We must be aware of what the devil is trying to accomplish. I do not have the big picture, Papa often shows us in part and, like a puzzle, others have their part as well. Put together, we can see the whole piece. Very important to test every vision, word, and prophecy heard.

The following are three things I have been paying close attention to in the spirit and praying as led:

One of the phrases that we consistently hear and are reprimanded to continue doing is “social distance.” Let me say, on a personal level, hearing this phrase hits me like nails scraped down a chalkboard. It very much contradicts human nature because we are touchy-feely people. It is crippling to the mental and physical health of many, especially those who are living in a place which has forbidden visitors. As prayer ministers, we often touch people for whom we pray. Jesus understood the power of human touch, He understood how we crave it, how healing and beneficial it is. When the leper asked if He was willing to heal him, Jesus reached out and touched him. We are not told how long the man had lived as an outcast and how long since he had been hugged, but we are told what happened when Jesus spoke to him and touched him. He was healed.

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed (Mark 1:40-41 NKJV).

This demonic agenda seeks to cut off the simple power of human touch, along with what can be accomplished through the laying on of hands and prayer. Not only are our elderly affected, but our children as well. Most went from their classroom routines and daily seeing their friends, to online distance learning. They lost their connections with their sports and extracurricular activities, their church groups, their mentors. The computer is not a substitute for face to face connection and not all children have adjusted well to this upheaval.

There is the confusing information about masks. Do they work? Don’t they work? Wear them? Don’t wear them? Many states have mandated that everyone wear a mask or face covering. In the spirit I see this as a tactic to disguise the wicked. If we all are wearing masks, how can we tell who is who? I do not like clowns because their face paint can hide or “mask” their real intent and who they are. I feel masks do the same, and they actually cover half the face. I also see this as a way to muffle the voice and hide the mouth.

Last is the fear mongering. It is hard to miss. I will not get into detail as this has me upset the most. It is because of this fear mongering that we find ourselves still mostly locked down, having to physically distance ourselves from each other and wear a mask.

Prayer, praise and worship are how we fight right now. Not just simple prayer, but strategic. We have to be aware of distractions and be able to shake them off. We must pick which battles to fight, we cannot all fight the same battle or we will lose others. Satan is a defeated foe, we need to remind him of his status and tolerate no more his demonic army.

Start gathering together and praying. Decree and declare God’s word into the atmosphere, you cannot go wrong and His word never fails. Speak life into your neighborhoods, communities and cities. Papa is not surprised by what is going on right now and His word tells us what will happen to the wicked, let us declare it. Revival will begin as a spark within each of us. Let’s carry that spark to our circles of influence and light the world on fire.

What Are We Being Distracted From?

May 30, 2020 by Prudence Leave a Comment

As an intercessor, things are always multi-layered and multi-dimensional to me. This means I often see the world around me from a different perspective than most. The devil uses the same tactics every time, he does nothing new. However, he will increase intensity and frequency. This is what we are experiencing right now. Armor on, shields up, swords drawn! Stay alert and awake! What is going on that the enemy wants our prayer focused elsewhere? What is his goal in this moment?

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV).

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV).

We are spiritually engaging in skirmishes and scuffles designed to distract us and detract from his primary target. This causes us to withdraw troops from the current main battle. As prayer warriors, we must remain prayerful in what we have been tasked to cover and trust Papa for reinforcements when needed. Remember every army has rank and order, this is no different in the spirit world. We each have our assignment, keep pressing on.

Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them (2 Timothy 2:3-4 NLT).

We have all the resources of heaven at hand, let us begin to utilize them and take forward ground. Push back and press on!
