But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24 NKJV).
“What is an attitude of worship? More importantly, do we have one?” I woke up one morning knowing God had placed this on my heart. It is a concept we really need to spend time savoring. What is worship? Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Worshiping God is a lifestyle; it is not just the songs we sing in church. All we say and do should reflect hearts of worship toward God. Sometimes it is not easy to see our jobs, or everyday life as worship, but it is. When we do all we do for the glory of the Lord, we engage in the act of worship, living lives pleasing to Him.
God loves when we minister to Him through song, but He also loves to minister to us the same way. When I’m feeling down or in need of a spiritual pick-me-up, I pick out my favorite worship song and sing away! Try it – You’ll be amazed at what will happen in those few tender and intimate moments with God.
Shalom ♥
