I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore (Psalm 121:1-8 NKJV).

Papa is a very present help in our time of need. He is always there and can always be counted on. He will never let us down. Where people may disappoint, He will not. There is nothing we face that He is not aware of and provisioning for; He never leaves nor forsake.

Whatever situation or circumstance we find ourselves in, we simply can turn to our Heavenly Father to help us through. When life wants us to drag our eyes down to what is in front of us, Papa is gently calling us to look to Him.

Stay focused on Papa no matter what and He will see you through. Look up!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23:1 ESV).

What a profound picture of our Papa! So much of His nature and character in this one sentence, yet Jesus expounded on this as He walked the earth and ministered to people. Shepherds care for and protect their flock. They guide them, lead them and go after those that stray. This is also a perfect example of what Papa does for us!

Papa knows all we need, when we need it and how best to fulfill the need. He also has a supply which never runs out. We have absolutely no need to worry about anything! He has taken care of everything. We simply ask and receive! He’s a Father that gives bread for bread and meat for meat. Expect to have what you need and see how He gives!

Meditate on this verse, lock it in your heart and let it fill your soul. Papa loves you and has only the best for you! Trust Him to provide.

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6 ESV).

It is a special feeling when our children or grandchildren seek us out, when they want to be with us just because. It is our joy to lavish our love and affection on them and to share our wisdom, knowledge and give them gifts. It isn’t any different with our Papa in heaven. His love for us is even greater than what we can humanly imagine.

Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be added to us. This Scripture tells us much the same thing in a different way. That it is in faith we seek Him believing He is there for us and He rewards us for it.

There is nothing prideful in receiving any gift Papa gives us. His math has always been multiplication. The more we look for Him, the easier He is to find and the wider and more generous His arms are. He not only blesses us with gifts, He also protects, provides, guides and directs, speaks and heals.

No matter what things look like to your eyes, never allow your faith to be circumstantial. Seek Papa diligently in faith and receive all His benefits and rewards.

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful” (Colossians 3:12-15 ESV).

Jesus said to love others as we love ourselves, that this was a new commandment. It can often be difficult to love others or even be compassionate when the “other” is someone we clash with; however, we must remember that the Holy Spirit empowers us to love.

Jesus was the direct human expression of Papa. He walked this earth loving on people and delivering them from sickness, disease and demonic oppression. He loved us so much that He died in our place so we could live in eternity with Him. If we were to exhibit just a fraction of the compassion and love He showed others, imagine how much of a ripple affect that would have.

People need compassion, they need love, they need attention and we have been called to give it. There is great blessing in loving on others. Go and be blessed!
